Dusseldorf First the good news: Despite the pandemic crisis, top executives were apparently doing very well in the corona year 2021, which is coming to an end. Home office experiment, lockdown, virtual leadership – they are more satisfied with their job than they have been for six years. This is shown by the current manager barometer of the personnel consultancy Odgers Berndtson, which is available exclusively to the Handelsblatt.
Around 2,200 executives from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are asked every year about their mood and their career plans. The most recent survey gave an overall positive picture: around 80 percent are satisfied or very satisfied with their current position, as the following graphic shows.
According to this, only about 15 percent of the respondents are “less satisfied”. The number of those who stated in the survey to be “dissatisfied” with their current professional position is even significantly lower.
