Boston, NY The “Bio International Convention” is one of the most important trade fairs in the biotech industry. 19,000 physicians, scientists and analysts gathered in Boston in early June to discuss the latest in new technology.

This year it was: “Medical AI”, artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine. The topic dominated the panels, talks and presentations: “Artificial intelligence is being discussed everywhere,” says Stefano Pacifico, founder of the biotech start-up Epistemic AI.

AI is bringing optimism to the industry. With the end of the Covid pandemic, the exceptionally strong growth of biotech companies also ebbed away, and share prices fell significantly, including in the entire technology sector.
