Stating that they have been acting separately from Huawei for about 18 months, the executives emphasize that they will now act as a completely separate brand. The managers of the brand, which continues to work to differentiate from Huawei and other brands, are aware that this process will take time.
Emphasizing that they want to speed up the process especially in terms of software, Honor believes that they will take an important step in this regard, especially with Magic OS 7. The Chinese manufacturer also announced that they are working on a completely different flagship model in terms of design and use. In this way, Honor plans to leave all other Android phone manufacturers.
The company, which had approximately 8 thousand employees when it left Huawei in 2021, has approximately 13 thousand employees today. Focusing on developing new products and technologies in this process, Honor once again reveals how serious it is by positioning its 8,000 employees in R&D.
Emphasizing that many smartphones are similar to each other today, the executives announced that Honor will take a different step in this regard. The company, which sees great potential especially in the foldable phone, will soon reveal its claim in this segment with its Magic V phone.
Qualcomm and Sony partnership stands out
Stating that the market has been taken over by large screen phones, Clement Wong believes that users will continue to be interested in large screens. On the other hand, the manager, who stated that foldable phones can be offered together with both compact dimensions and a large screen, avoided giving a clear date for the introduction of the brand’s new foldable phone.
