As the electric car market grows, brands continue to introduce their new models. Honda, which started to keep up with this change in the automotive industry, also unveiled its new electric SUV model.
Honda e:Ny1 to heat up electric SUV market
The Japanese automaker has recently introduced three new players to the SUV market: ZR-V, CR-V and e:Ny1. The most striking of these models was undoubtedly the e:Ny1. Developed for fully electric cars, called the e:N Architecture F, the new platform focuses on low center of gravity and aerodynamic efficiency.
The new SUV model, which houses an electric motor that can produce 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque located in the front section, offers a range of 412 kilometers. It only takes 45 minutes to move the vehicle’s 68.8 kWh capacity batteries from 10% to 80%.

The e:Ny1, which we can describe as the electric version of the HR-V model, also reflects this feature with some design details. In accordance with the electric models, the Honda logo that separates the taillights in the middle of the car, which bids farewell to the front grille, has been removed. In this way, the car, which has a more modern look at the rear, is the ‘Honda’ lettering under the taillights, a first for the Japanese manufacturer.
When we move into the interior, we see that the vertically placed 15.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen dominates this section. It is seen that there are very few keys in the vehicle, where almost all controls are made on this screen.
A second digital display behind the steering wheel provides the driver with information about the vehicle. In the new SUV model, unlike the Honda e, we see that traditional side mirrors are used. The Japanese manufacturer has included a camera-assisted system in the electric small hatchback model.
