Holo Team’s Paul d’Aoust: “Someone Fooled You, It’s Not a HOT Investment Vehicle!”

While the fluctuation in the crypto money markets continued, there was an interesting discussion about Holo, which is very popular in Turkey.

Paul d’Aoust, who is in the technical team of Holo, said that Hot is not an investment tool and reminded that the word investor was never used during their ICO.

Paul used the following statements:

The ‘something others can invest in’ part makes this a difficult question. The ICO took place before I joined the team, but from my understanding the only marketing we wanted to do to the investors was already done during the ICO.

The team decided not to use the word ‘investor’ even during the ICO. The ICO was just a pre-sale of hosting credits and an opportunity to help support the development of Holochain/Holo in a crowdfunding fashion.

This means that if we don’t have investors, we don’t need to market to them. I don’t want to ignore people who choose to buy HOT for a monetary return, I just wanted to share our perspective.”

Responding to a post about the extent of the economic crisis in Turkey and the excess of HOT victims, Paul lashed out at those who marketed HOT to the Turks, saying, “We said from the very beginning that Holo is not an investment tool”;

“I know that, and it weighs heavily on me. We said from the very beginning that Holo is not an investment vehicle. HOT was released for use in HoloFuel’s hosting service. We have always aimed to make marketing different. I think these people were sold a false promise. Holo never existed because it didn’t fit into the real Holo’s business plan. Maybe someone fed on people’s desperation and lack of cryptocurrency experience. When I think about it, I get angry.”
