Compared to last year, smartphone sales fell 15 percent in China and around 4 percent in Apple. This difference enabled the company to distance itself from its competitors. Reaching a 25 percent market share in October, Apple accounted for one out of every four models in China.

The research also revealed that the iPhone maker has reached new highs in terms of market share in China for the past two years.
