The case in which Muhammed Burak Özdemir, known as CZN Burak, and his father were tried with a request for imprisonment of up to 5 years each on the grounds that they had unauthorized construction in the “Urban Protected Area” continued.

CZN Burak Up to 5 years’ imprisonment was sought for each of his and his father. At the hearing, Özdemir said in his defense, ”My father said that the renovation had started and that he had received all the permits. I have no action regarding the renovation.” he said. CZN Burak and the defendant’s lawyers were present in the case heard at the Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance.
Özdemir claimed that he had no information about the issue
Muhammed Burak Özdemir, in his defense as the defendant, said:My father was handling the matter. He told me that the renovation had started and that he had received all the permits. I have no action regarding the renovation. I don’t know whether my father got permission from the Cultural Heritage Preservation Board, he told me that he had the necessary permissions. I do not accept the accusations made against me. “I want my acquittal” he said. Özdemir’s lawyer also said that his client had no action. requesting acquittal found.
In the prosecutor’s indictment, it was stated that the construction of the building in the said area was not completed. It was also stated that no permit was found for the work carried out in the area. While Muhammed Burak Özdemir and İsmail Özdemir were listed as suspects in the prepared indictment, “Opposition to the Law on the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets No. 2863” for the crime Imprisonment from 2 to 5 years each punishment was requested.
Making a statement after the hearing Ozdemir, ”We gave our statement regarding the construction of our restaurant. The person sitting in the restaurant complained about the building next to him, saying there was construction going on, but only repairs were made. “We gave our statement and we are leaving” said.
