Berlin The head of the Hensoldt armaments group, Thomas Müller, calls on the federal government to actively support Ukraine with heavy weapons. However, the delivery of heavy weapons such as tanks alone is not enough: “That also includes training, logistics, ammunition, maintenance and so on.”

Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht announced in an interview with RTL/ntv on Thursday morning that heavy weapons would be delivered to Ukraine in exchange for rings with partners from the EU and NATO. “It’s about tanks, it’s about armored personnel carriers, it’s about different options that individual countries have to give up. We’re currently in talks and that’s happening very quickly now,” said Lambrecht.
