Head of e-scooter provider is preparing for consolidation

Berlin In the spring, the e-scooters race across Germany’s roads much more frequently than in the winter. They are especially popular in big cities. But there are fewer providers than last year. Bird from the USA, for example, has withdrawn from the German market. Soon it will be even less.

The current number four in Germany is getting ready for this: “We see ourselves as a company that buys others when it comes to gaining more size and synergies,” says the boss of the Swedish e-scooter start-up Voi, Fredrik Hjelm, the Handelsblatt.
