He detected the location of the International Space Station! Aselsan ERALP

New projects continue to be produced within the scope of Turkey’s domestic and national defense industry program. After TAI flies the National Combat Aircraft KAAN, new information about radar technologies continues to come from Aselsan. Next up is a radar that can even detect objects in space. Here is Aselsan ERALP and its details…

He detected the location of the International Space Station! Here are Aselsan ERALP and its technical specifications

In line with the needs of the Air Force, the Presidency of Defense Industries initiated a joint project with Aselsan. With this project, the first domestic and national long-range early warning radar system was produced. Aselsan ERALP, Portable Early Radar Warning System project, has been completed. ERALP, which is counting the days to enter the inventory, achieved great success in the tests carried out recently.

The location of the International Space Station, which orbits at an altitude of 400 kilometers above sea level, was determined with Aselsan ERALP. The distance measured using XYZ coordinates was 400 kilometers above and 700 kilometers away. ERALP was able to pinpoint the location of the station at this distance.

Turkey’s fifth generation fighter aircraft MMU KAAN made its first flight. So, is the MMU KAAN design wrong? Here are the details…

With this success of ERALP, it is now quite easy for Turkey to locate even objects in space from the ground. ERALP, together with AESA, has new generation algorithms and can perform its duties under all desired conditions thanks to its portability. In addition, the radar system is in the top league in friend-foe recognition systems thanks to its antenna structure, and can make the “invisible visible” thanks to its ability to use many radars as a single radar.
