Hamburg – Bad accident on the A7!
On Saturday night a family crashed into a truck with their Citroën Jumpy near Schnelsen-Nord. Father, mother and daughter (10) were trapped in the demolished vehicle.
The words “Derby Racing Team” were affixed to the destroyed windshield. There were also large stickers from the Nürburgring on the car.
At 3.15 a.m., the fire brigade received several emergency calls. Callers reported the crash. The rescuers went out immediately. In addition, the technical train of the Eppendorf Volunteer Fire Brigade, which specializes in complicated salvage, was alerted.
Fire department spokesman Dennis Diekmann: “With this debris field, of course, many thoughts immediately cross your mind that serious personal injury could have occurred here. Especially when children are involved, that is of course stress, because the pulse rises. “
The father, mother and daughter were freed from the car with hydraulic devices – fortunately they were only slightly injured, but were still taken to the hospital. The rescuers took two dogs from the trunk that were doing well.
Since the logo of the Nürburgring was stuck on the family’s jumpy, and a bag with the corresponding label was thrown out of the car, it was assumed that the family was on the way there. A racing event is taking place on the Nürburgring on Saturday.
After initial investigations by the police, the Motorsport family’s Jumpy had already left the road in the Schnelsen-Nord driveway, then shot through the lawn at the others. There it came to a collision with the truck.
A driver reported that the Jumpy had passed him at high speed previously.
