Grayscale Report: “Investors Turn To These Two Altcoins!”

Grayscale Investments has published a report called “Grayscale Bitcoin Investor Study 2021”.

The results of the survey, which was conducted with the participation of 1000 US investors aged 25-64 and with a household income of $ 10,000-50,000, revealed the awareness in altcoins.

Bitcoin remains the most popular cryptocurrency among investors in the survey.

Because 26% of the investors surveyed said they own Bitcoin, while more than 50% of the respondents stated that they think Bitcoin as a long-term investment is suitable for their overall portfolio strategy.

Although 99% of respondents stated that they have heard of Bitcoin, the results of the survey showed that the price increase in Bitcoin has led investors to high awareness altcoins such as Ethereum (ETH) and Dogecoin (DOGE).

Because 74% of the investors said they had heard of Dogecoin, while 56% said they had heard of Ethereum. In addition, 46% of investors stated that they have Ethereum in their account, while 44% stated that they hold Dogecoin.

Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnenshein said in a statement regarding the report, “While it is encouraging to see attitudes towards crypto continue to evolve, it is still early for the crypto industry. It is our duty to focus on educating the investing public.” said.

The survey also showed that it has changed the way investors invest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies over the past year.

More than 75% of investors preferred to buy directly on cryptocurrency exchanges in 2020, while in 2021 about two-thirds of investors preferred to buy Bitcoin and crypto through a trading app like eToro or Robinhood.
