Google will show air quality with colors!
The search engine Google will show the air quality values of cities ranging from 0 to 400. Air quality will be determined by a lane bar located at the bottom of the map from green to purple. Besides the numbers, Google will also comment on whether the air quality is good or dangerous.
The company first made this function available in India, then brought it to Austria and Brooklyn. The feature is currently available in both mobile and desktop versions in the US. In order to measure the air quality of the cities, it is possible to reach the results by writing the name of the city and the air quality with the location clearly. For example, the air quality measured in Brooklyn resulted in 27 degrees and good.
A Google spokesperson made the following statement about the new function:
“We’re always working on new ways to connect people with useful information when they come to Google. We continue to explore ways to make reliable information on a range of sustainability and environmental issues easily accessible, and we look forward to sharing more in this area soon.”
The new feature of Google Search is currently not available in other countries and cities. However, it is expected to be made available to other countries and cities in the near future.
