Google Meet will be equipped with artificial intelligence features

Google Meet, one of the two most used meeting applications in the world along with Teams, will receive brand new features supported by artificial intelligence. The company is preparing to introduce two very useful features to the application, which will be available for an additional fee.

These features, which will come to Google Meet, will be available for an additional fee in Google Workspace and will allow users to take notes and real-time translation in meetings.

The “Take Notes for Me” feature added to Google Meet will automatically transcribe the conversations of meeting participants, eliminating the need to take notes. This feature will make it easier to record important information during meetings, allowing participants to focus more effectively.

In addition, the “Translate for Me” feature, which will be added to Google Meet, aims to overcome language barriers in multilingual meetings. Thanks to this feature, Google Meet users will be able to automatically detect and translate what is spoken in different languages.

Although these new features of Google will initially be aimed at corporate users, they are expected to spread to consumer-level Google products in the future.

Organizations such as educational and research institutions can communicate more effectively and collaborate on projects by taking advantage of the conveniences brought by these new features. For example, institutions like Pepperdine University can make significant strides in equity and accessibility by using Google Meet’s captioning feature.

To use these artificial intelligence features coming to Google Meet, a monthly fee of $ 10 will be required. This corresponds to 322.42 TL with the current exchange rate as of the date of writing this article. There is currently no statement on whether Google will provide local pricing for this feature.
