Google may pay record penalty for Adsense platform

In 2021, the French Competition Authority fined Google 220 million euros for its stance on the advertising platform. It was announced that the company was also sued in the UK and the Netherlands due to the Google Adsense policy. In both countries, a record penalty was requested from the Google Adsense platform.

The Google Adsense platform brings companies together with websites and YouTube accounts, allowing companies to post automatic advertisements. Law firm Geradin Partners announced that they have filed a criminal complaint against Google for their advertising policies.
