Google made a design change to the Phone app

Google has made a design change in the Phone application it developed for voice calls on Android devices. The search section, which has become more functional compared to the old design, has started to be tested with limited users.

Applications that perform basic functions often serve users for a long time with the same design language. Although Google frequently updates the Phone app, it did not make radical design changes. With the update released today, the Phone application has moved to the new design.

In the application, which is in the beta process, the sequence of the in-call action buttons has changed. Wanting to increase the user experience, Google made some adjustments for easier access to the buttons during the call.

In the design that appears in the 90.0.475844574 version of the phone application, there are 4 buttons at the bottom of the call screen. The company, which shows the keypad, microphone mute and speaker talk buttons on the main screen, added extra buttons for other functions.

The key features of the Google Pixel 7 model, which is expected to be introduced in the coming days, have been announced. Here are the details!

Users will now be able to access the keypad more easily during voice calls. Google, which also changed the position of the keypad on the screen, moved the keys up to increase the user experience.

On taller phones, you may notice that the buttons are now closer to the bottom and easier to reach with both thumbs. Also, additional search options on the top row (when in use) are aligned to the right. This makes the application easy for one-handed use.

The new UI is currently in beta and server-side A/B testing is expected. It is not known when the update, which has limited access yet, will be available to other users.
