Gigantic Whales Get FTM and These Coins Starting The Week!

The new week, which started with a slight correction for the cryptocurrency market, is attracting the attention of altcoin whales. The highlights of the day include purchases of millions of FTM, LTC and SHIB.

Giant whale address bought million-dollar LRC and FTM hours ago

According to the Lookonchain report of the day, the giant whale address that started with 0x28c transferred a large amount of USDT to Binance and bought 7.56 million Looprings (LRC) worth $3.1 million in the first transaction. The same whale later accumulated 981 thousand Phantoms (FTMs) worth $1.84 million with the remaining USDT balance.

The cost of purchasing FTM was $0.4040 and 7.56 million LRC was purchased at an average of $0.4157. The giant whale address is reportedly currently holding 9.75 million FTM (worth $5.2 million) and LRC 9.3 million (worth $3.8 million).

Huge whale collects 3.48 trillion SHIB in one go

In another highlight transaction, a new whale tracked on Etherscan.io added 3.48 trillion SHIB worth $39.93 million to its wallet in a key transaction that took place nearly 13 hours ago. This massive accumulation instantly made the whale the 29th largest SHIB investor.

Earlier on April 13, the 19th largest Shiba Inu whale added $1.88 million worth of SHIB to its portfolio in four separate transactions. Over the past five days, whales have purchased SHIB for $41.82 million in five separate transactions.

Whales buying FTM and SHIB are also watching ETH closely

cryptocoin.com As we reported, Ethereum (ETH) made the headlines with many positive developments throughout the month. On April 16, it rose to an 11-month high of $2,137.45. With the bullish bounces, the weekly gains were 12.80%, giving confidence in its steady growth after the Shapella upgrade.

The upgrade, which has been anticipated for months, kickstarted a new system that could further contribute to boosting Ethereum’s overall valuation. According to Lookonchain’s analysis, a large number of whale investors are repurchasing a sizable amount of ETH that they had withdrawn when the Shapella upgrade went live.

According to whale transactions that Lookonchain detected during the day, a wallet starting with “0x2E5f” pulled 25,855 ETH, transferring a total of 18,000 ETH to Binance and Kraken. Address “0x4231” pulled 8,444 ETH and transferred all 8,444 ETH to Kraken.

Address “0xa8c6” has withdrawn 8,961 ETH and transferred to address “0xD100” for re-staking. According to the data, there are 13 addresses that have been re-stake after ETH withdrawal, and a total of 34,198 ETH ($72 million) has been staked.

How has ETH price reacted to the Shapella upgrade?

Thanks to the upgrade implemented, the price of the second-largest cryptocurrency Ethereum rose to the $2,000 level and is currently trading in the $2,100 region. Recent analytics data shows that the number of large ETH transfers has increased sharply this week after the recent major Ethereum update.
