Berlin These days Gazprom and the Russian government are vehemently rejecting allegations that Europe’s largest gas supplier is responsible for the highest gas prices in Europe of all time. With these record prices, the energy supplier wants to force a quick approval for the controversial Baltic Sea pipeline Nord Stream 2.
Gazprom is meeting all of its contractual delivery obligations, repeat the majority state-controlled world’s largest gas producer, the Kremlin and many European suppliers and major Gazprom customers in unison. But that is only half the truth.
