Former SEC Chairman to Advise Crypto Investor

Jay Clayton, former chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will advise crypto investor Electric Capital.

According to the statement made by Electric Capital, in addition to Jay Clayton, Kevin Walsh, a former member of the Federal Reserve Board, and Pratiti Raychoudhury, vice president of Meta Platforms, joined the company’s advisory board.

Clayton was nominated by Donald Trump to head the SEC, which oversees financial markets in the United States, and held this post for three years, from 2017 to 2020.

Clayton is not taking your first step into the cryptocurrency world with Electric Capital. The former head of the SEC also advises Fireblocks, a crypto custody service, and investment manager One River Asset Management.
