Forest Fire in Datça and Çeşme [Video]

A forest fire broke out in Muğla’s Datça district and İzmir’s Çeşme district. General Directorate of Forestry teams respond to fires from the air and from the ground.

As the temperatures continue to rise as we are halfway through the summer season, forest fires have started to break out in many places across Turkey. Today, forest fires were seen last year as well. From Datça and Çeşme flames rose again. Crews started to respond to the fires at full speed.

The teams of the General Directorate of Forestry continue to respond to the fire from the air and from the land. According to the information obtained, the intervention of the fire in the maquis area belongs to the İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry. 2 planes, 4 helicopters, 15 sprayers and 4 dozers is being used. Due to the fire approaching the highway and wind power plants, the Uzunkuyu location of the İzmir – Çeşme highway has also been closed.
