Samsung wants to stand out with its 17.3-inch foldable screen

The South Korean manufacturer has been one of the important players in the foldable screen industry with the Galaxy Fold model since 2019. Samsung has reached significant sales figures so far with the Galaxy Fold, which has stepped into its 4th generation with its 7.3-inch screen. The company is now aiming to achieve similar success in the laptop industry.
Historic step from Apple: Foldable MacBook Pro is coming
According to the leaked information, Apple has started R&D studies for the foldable MacBook Pro and iPad models.
Samsung will break the record with its foldable screen laptop, which it plans to release in 2023. The computer, which will have a 17.3-inch OLED screen when open, is expected to host a 13-inch screen when folded. In this way, the company plans to stay ahead of its competitors.
Asus has already launched the Zenbook 17 Fold model with a 17-inch screen. On the other hand, HP is preparing to introduce its 17-inch foldable display model next year. Another foldable laptop, the ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2, has a 16.3-inch screen.
Considering all these situations, Samsung is trying to get ahead of its competitors with its 17.3-inch foldable screen laptop. The fact that the screen will be produced directly by Samsung Display stands out as another advantage for the South Korean manufacturer.
