Flare API Portal Launches Blockchain APIs on Google Cloud Marketplace

Flare, a Tier 1 blockchain that provides developers with decentralized access to high-integrity data from other chains and the internet, has integrated its API Portal into the Google Cloud Marketplace, making some of the first blockchain APIs available on the platform.

This enables blockchain data from Flare nodes and Connected Chain nodes to be accessed by developers using the Google Cloud Marketplace to perform easy blockchain transactions and read current status.

With this integration, Google Cloud’s built-in Cloud Marketplace now supports blockchain APIs for Algorand, BNB Smart Chain, Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Flare, Litecoin, Songbird, and XRP. All blockchain APIs added to Flare’s API Portal in the future will also be made available to Google Cloud developers.

Blockchain APIs allow developers to build applications that process transactions and query on-chain data for the latest state of the chain. Access to APIs frees developers from having to run their own nodes for each blockchain they want to interact with. This capability is especially valuable when building cross-chain applications that need to query multiple data sources. Leading exchanges and wallets also use the API Portal as a safeguard against their infrastructure.

Flare’s integration with the Marketplace means anyone using Google Cloud can enjoy easy access to all of Flare’s available APIs through their existing Google Cloud account. Spending on Flare APIs through the Google Cloud Marketplace can be included in a customer’s committed spend on Google Cloud.

“The greater availability of leading blockchain APIs on platforms like Google Cloud Marketplace is lowering barriers to Web3 participation,” said Josh Edwards, Flare VP of Engineering. It makes it easy for developers to experiment with blockchain technology and its many use cases without heavy hardware costs and ongoing maintenance overhead. It also opens the possibility for larger organizations and partners to experiment with a safe, secure and validated set of Web3 APIs. As a result, dev teams have the flexibility to build apps without any infrastructure issues, allowing them to focus on building and shipping great products.”

James Tromans, Head of Web3 Engineering at Google Cloud, said, “We are excited to support and promote the goals of our Web3 partners in our ecosystem with the integration of Flare’s high-performance APIs into our Marketplace.” said.

Flare’s EVM-based Layer 1 is designed to extend the utility of blockchain by providing decentralized access to high-integrity data from other chains and Web2 sources. Connected with Flare’s data and interoperability infrastructure, each blockchain will eventually be added to Google Cloud, giving developers access to the top 100 chains.

About Flare

Flare is an EVM-based Layer 1 blockchain that provides developers with decentralized access to high integrity data from other chains and the internet. This allows applications to serve multiple chains through a single distribution, while enabling new use cases and monetization models.

Flare’s State Connector protocols enable secure, scalable and reliable use of information from both other blockchains and the internet with smart contracts on Flare.

Flare Time Series Oracle offers highly decentralized pricing and data flows to data applications on Flare without relying on centralized providers.

The Flare API Portal is a gateway to Flare chains and all chains connected by Flare’s data collection protocols. It makes it easy for developers to access nodes of top blockchains.

Build on Flare with more data than ever before, or build with Flare to serve multiple ecosystems.
