An earthquake of 7.4 magnitude occurred at 04:17 in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş province today. “We experienced an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 centered in Pazarcık, an earthquake that affected 10 of our cities. From the very first moment, we started to gather at AFAD with all our ministers and then we started to make the first interventions. Our President has been following and managing the earthquake from the very first moment.
We are dealing with extremely severe weather conditions. In these weather conditions, it was started to move to the regions as quickly as possible. We lost 70 of our citizens in Kahramanmaraş, unfortunately we anticipate that these numbers will increase. There are 200 injured, 300 buildings were destroyed. We have 4 deaths, 7 injured and 200 destroyed buildings in Hatay.
