Perhaps the most talked about and trending topic of 2023 in Turkey was new cars. A year has almost been completed due to supply problems, second-hand cars exceeding the new price, loan interest rates and opportunistic buyers and sellers. So, which is the best-selling new car from January to October 2023? Here is our list…
Our list is based on data published by the Automotive Distributors Association from January to October.
1- Fiat Egea Sedan
Fiat Egea Sedan, which took the first place in almost the entire 10-month adventure, also holds the first place in the general table. Preferred especially by fleets and companies, Fiat Egea Sedan is loved due to its economical engine and low maintenance and spare parts costs. Egea Sedan ranked first on the list by selling a total of 69 thousand 403 units in the January-October period of 2023.
2- Renault Clio Hatchback
Our list continues with a car that we can say has many buyers when it has many fans. The popular hatchback Renault Clio was constantly in competition with Egea in the monthly sales lists for the January-October period. Renault Clio, which ranks second, sold a total of 45 thousand 330 units from January to October.
3- Fiat Egea Cross
Fiat Egea, which placed its sedan model in the first place, managed to place the Egea Cross, which can be considered as a crossover SUV, in the 3rd place in the list. Fiat Egea Cross sold a total of 33 thousand 802 units in the period from January to October. In addition, Fiat placed two of the 3 models in the Egea model family in the top 3 bestseller lists.
4- Megane Sedan
Megane Sedan, the popular face of the C segment, whose biggest misfortune is probably its competition with the Fiat Egea series, ranked 4th in our list. Renault, which had a chance to dominate the first 3 places of the list just like Fiat, took the 2nd and 4th places on the list due to the supply problem it had with its Megane and Clio models for a while. Megane Sedan sold a total of 24 thousand 122 units in the period from January to October.
5- Toyota Corolla
Toyota, which came to the fore with the supply problems it experienced for a while, ranked 5th on the list with its Corolla model. The brand’s popular C segment family car sold a total of 21 thousand 369 units in the period from January to October.
6- Dacia Duster
Dacia, a Renault brand and known for its affordable cars, ranked 6th on the list with its popular SUV model Duster, and ranked 1st among the best-selling 4×4 SUV models. Dacia Duster is now a highly preferred model among both companies, construction sites and users. Dacia Duster sold a total of 20 thousand 223 units in the period from January to October.
7- Opel Corsa
Opel, the first German brand on the list, took the 7th place with its popular compact model. The brand’s popular hatchback model Corsa, a total of 17 thousand 122 units were sold in the period from January to October. While a breakthrough was especially expected from Volkswagen Polo, Corsa was 7 places ahead of Polo.
8- Hyundai i20
There is no car enthusiast who has not heard of the i20 N model. Brand sales increased, especially thanks to the i20 N, which made the new i20 famous. Hyundai’s popular hatchback model i20 ranked 8th on the list by selling a total of 16 thousand 580 units from January to October. In addition, the best-selling Korean brand this year was Hyundai.
9- Peugeot 3008
You’re probably thinking, “There have been so many Peugeout promotions, where are they on the list?” The question has passed. Peugeot ranked 9th on the list with its popular SUV model 3008. The highly acclaimed Peugeot 3008 sold a total of 14 thousand 908 units in the period from January to October.
10- Peugeot 2008
Peugeot, which has the 2nd and 1st place from the last in the list with brothers and sisters, closes our list with the 2008 model. The popular model of the brand sold a total of 14 thousand 245 units between January and October 2008.
