Ferrari SP-8: New roadster inspired by the F8 Spider!

Ferrari introduced the latest member of the One-Off series: Ferrari SP-8. This special edition roadster was designed based on the F8 Spider architecture and produced under Ferrari’s Special Projects programme. Designed by the Ferrari Design Center led by Flavio Manzoni, the SP-8 stands out by inheriting its design, chassis and engine from the F8 Spider. The name SP-8 was given in honor of its 3.9 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which won the prestigious Engine of the Year (IEOTY) award four times in a row.

Ferrari SP-8: Roofless design and new aerodynamics!

One of the most striking features of the SP-8 is that it is roofless. This feature makes the car a thoroughbred roadster, emphasizing its sporty character and open-air driving experience. The aerodynamics have been extensively developed through CFD simulations, wind tunnel tests and track tests, carrying over the characteristics of the F8 Spider.

Notable features in the exterior design of the car include front headlights with special masks and lenses, taillights with special lenses, specially colored rims (matte Grigio NART) and a large, 3D-printed aluminum cast grille produced from a single mold. The rims are produced exclusively for this car and bring a modern approach to classic rims.

A significant modification has been made to the interior of the car, which has been present in the Ferrari series since the debut of the SF90 Stradale. While the iconic gear channel has been modified for the special application, the interior trim is completed with Navy Blue Alcantara detailed seats and special twill fabric carpets.

The matte Argento Micalizzato color is in perfect harmony with the carbon fiber section, which has an exclusive glossy Blue Sandstone finish. The Ferrari SP-8 will be on display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello from November 16, 2023 until March 2024.
