Ethereum Whale Activity at Six-Month High: Is a Giant Rally Coming?

As the upward trend returns to the overall cryptocurrency market, the sector’s most important assets, especially those that recorded the highest whale transaction volume in the last six months Ethereum Fear of missing out (FOMO) has also increased among (ETH) holders.

Indeed, Ethereum whale transactions, especially those above $100,000, have skyrocketed to a six-month high, while ETH supply on exchanges has reached a record low since its inception in 2015, according to data shared by blockchain analysis platform Santiment on October 25.

Notably, the number of Ethereum transactions worth $100,000 and above reached 6,049 on October 24, the highest day since April 2023, while the ETH supply on crypto exchanges dropped to 8.41%, the lowest amount since July 2015.

At the same time, Bitcoin (BTC), Cardano (ADA) and Dai (DAI) are witnessing major increases in whale activity. According to the blockchain platform’s analysis, Bitcoin recorded 14,833 $100,000+ transactions on October 24, the highest since reports of multiple applications for a spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) in June.
