Ethereum Miners’ April Earnings Again Overtake Bitcoin Miners

Bitcoin miners generated a total revenue of $1.16 billion during the month of April, down 4.3 percent compared to the previous month.

According to data obtained by The Block Research, miners on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain generated $1.33 billion in revenue in April, 6.2 percent more than in March.

Miners on the Ethereum blockchain have been earning more revenue since last May compared to those mining on the Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain.

Bitcoin miners earn the bulk of their revenue ($1.14 billion). from block rewards while their income $12.9 million part came from transaction fees.

Ethereum miners, on the other hand, earned $1.25 billion from block rewards, $82.8 million from transaction fees, and $58.8 million from ‘uncle’ rewards, out of $1.33 billion in total.
