Eat – During a chase in Essen, two police officers drove their patrol car into a house wall and were slightly injured.
The officers wanted to check a car that night, as a police spokesman said on Thursday morning. Instead of stopping, however, the car continued to drive “at increased speed”.
The driver (23) of the patrol car and his passenger (29) took up the chase. They came off the lane at 0.52 a.m. with their car.
According to the police, the car had a total write-off and had to be towed. According to the police spokesman in the morning, it was still unclear how big the damage to the house wall was.
