The preferred candidate is Pep Guardiola (51) from Man City. The Brazilians wanted him three years ago, when the association contacted his agent. But the demands – he is said to have called up 24 million euros a year – were utopian. In addition, the association would have had to pay a transfer fee.
That’s why an old acquaintance comes into play: Mano Menezes (60 / Internacional Porto Alegre). He coached the five-time world champion from 2010 to 2012 and made Neymar (30) a national player twelve years ago.
