Epic Games is Shutting Down the Servers of 17 Games

Epic Games has announced that some old games’ online services and servers will be shut down until January 24, 2023. Players will be able to continue playing some of these productions offline.

Epic Games, which has won the hearts of gamers with its free games every week, is one of the leading companies in its field. The giant company recently introduced a brand new system on accounts to ensure the safety of child players.

Epic Games has now announced that it will make a move that will upset some players. In the statement made on the official website, some outdated old games online services and servers announced that it will be closed. The application starting from today, Rock Band and Unreal It concerns 17 productions, including popular games like Tournament.

Here are the games that Epic Games will shut their servers down

  • Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition
  • Unreal Tournament 2003
  • Unreal Tournament 2004
  • Unreal Tournament 3 (Epic plans to bring this game’s online services back in the future via Epic Online Services.)
  • Unreal Gold
  • Unreal II: The Awakening
  • Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars
  • The Beatles: Rock Band
  • Rock Band 1 – 3 (Rock Band 4’s multiplayer feature will continue)
  • Monster (Probably) Stole My Princess
  • Green Day: Rock Band
  • Dance Central 1 – 3 (Dance Central VR’s multiplayer feature will continue)
  • 1000 Tiny Claws

Epic, in its statements, says that until January 24, 2023, the online services of all the games we see above will be closed. However, it is also stated that some, but not all, of the players can continue to play with offline or local multiplayer modes. The platform also added that it has already started removing affected games from digital storefronts and stopping the purchase of in-game DLC.
