Elon Musk Says His Meeting With Fox News Owner Was About Dogecoin
The asset rose 4.8% in 15 minutes after the billionaire tweeted.
Genevieve Roch-Decter, a renowned financial writer and CEO of GRIT, a financial media company, used Twitter to draw attention to an observation she made during the recently ended Super Bowl LVII.
Roch-Decter pointed out that Elon Musk is sitting next to Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch.

In response to this observation, Musk simply replied with “Dogecoin”. Given Musk’s known proclivity for making witty comments on Twitter, some saw it as a deep statement, while others saw it as a joking comment.
Regardless of the intent behind his statement, Musk’s response has had a significant impact on Dogecoin’s price. The statement was made when DOGE was valued at $0.08171. In just fifteen minutes, the asset surged 4.8% to $0.086.
However, DOGE, which had its share of the general market decline, has now regressed to $ 0.080.
While Elon Musk’s enthusiastic advocacy for Dogecoin has waned recently, he still remains a staunch advocate of the token.
His comments and taunts about the asset have often led to inflows and volatility, prompting questions about market manipulation.
DOGE had an inflow of $1.5 billion and a 15% increase after Musk shouted “Dogecoin to the moon” at a Twitter event in November 2022.
