Elon Musk Files A Lawsuit Against Twitter: Here are the Details!

According to Reuters, Elon Musk filed a lawsuit against Twitter as part of his legal fight to abandon Twitter’s $44 billion takeover, adding that the lawsuit was filed in secret.

While the document has been sealed, a redacted version may soon be made public.

The lawsuit was filed on Friday, just hours after it was decided to begin a five-day trial on October 17 to decide whether Musk could abandon the deal, according to the report.

Twitter Recently Sued Elon Musk

Musk applied to withdraw from the deal to buy Twitter after a dispute with the company over Twitter’s fake account percentage on July 8. In a May statement, Twitter estimated that 5% of its accounts were fake.

After that, Musk said that he wanted to withdraw from the deal, saying that Twitter did not fully disclose the information of fake and bot accounts to him.

Twitter then filed a lawsuit against Musk on July 12, forcing him to buy the company for $44 billion, as he admitted in April.

Later, Musk made fun of Twitter suing him. According to Musk, although he does not want to give him fake and bot account information before, he will have to provide this information to himself during the lawsuit process with the lawsuit he filed.
