Elon Musk could fundamentally rebuild Twitter

San Francisco, Dusseldorf The new major shareholder Elon Musk will probably be anything but a silent partner on Twitter: around 24 hours after the Tesla boss’s entry into the stock market was announced by mandatory notification, the company announced that it would bring the billionaire to the board of directors. The Twitter share, which had closed the day with a plus of more than 27 percent, rose again by more than six percent on Tuesday at the start of the stock market.

“Through discussions with Elon in the past few weeks, it has become clear to us that he can make a very valuable contribution to the board of directors,” said Twitter boss Parag Agrawal. “He is an ardent supporter and fierce critic of the service. This is exactly what we need on Twitter and on the Board of Directors in order to be stronger in the long term.”
