After this tweet from Musk, altcoin price printed a large green candle on the hourly chart and rose over 4% to reach $0.0785. At the time of this writing, the altcoin was down slightly, trading at $0.0776 on Binance.
The rise in price can be attributed to a brief jump in enthusiasm from the DOGE Army, who wished Elon Musk would adopt DOGE to tip creators and/or microtransactions on Twitter. As you may recall, Musk mentioned this option before purchasing the largest social network.
