Elon Musk announced: Record increase in the number of Starlink customers!

Starlink, the satellite internet project of SpaceX, the new favorite of Elon Musk, has made a name for itself in recent days. Especially the new premium subscription system announced by Musk attracted a lot of attention. Then the company had a misfortune. Due to a geomagnetic storm on the Sun, it lost 40 of the 49 satellites it sent into orbit in early February. But despite everything, it managed to double the number of users. Here are the details…

Elon Musk announced the new Starlink service, which is astonishing with its price!

SpaceX introduced its new Premium service for Starlink satellite internet service, which can reach speeds of 500 Mbps and its price astonishing.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, in his post on Twitter on Monday, February 14, said that the number of people using the Starlink satellite internet service has exceeded 250 thousand. This reveals that the data shared in August of last year has almost doubled.

Customers wishing to use the standard Starlink internet service, launched in October 2020, require an initial $99 deposit, followed by a $499 fee for hardware with receiver and dish antenna, and finally a monthly fee of $99 to use the internet with download speeds of up to 200 Mbps. He had to pay a fee.

Earlier this month, SpaceX added a more expensive package option to its registration page. Customers who want to use Starlink Premium, which will be released in the first half of this year, need to pay $2,500 for hardware (receiver and antenna, etc.), $500 for a deposit, and $500 per month to use high-speed internet that can reach up to 500 mbps.

Starlink’s growing customer base currently brings in about $25 million per month in revenue for SpaceX. But if it continues to increase the number of customers at this rate, it could approach the annual revenue of $ 50 billion that Musk predicted. However, there is still a long time to go before that happens.

Due to the global chip crisis, SpaceX apologized to its customers who waited for a long time for Starlink hardware to reach their hands. Then, he said that the relevant teams continue to work to solve this problem in 2022.
