However, when the company’s new engine and battery packs, which are still in the prototype stage, come, internal combustion engine vehicles will no longer be able to compete.
When we look at the features of the Lotus Eletre model, the engine draws attention first. It should be noted that the vehicle is four-wheel drive with two engines in it. This duo produces a total of 591 horsepower. 0-100 acceleration will be under 3 seconds.

Moreover, it is a very heavy vehicle. Most of this weight comes from batteries. Because there is a 100 kWh battery pack in the car. But this adds to the range. In the latest statement made by the company, it was stated that it can travel 370 miles-600 kilometers on a single charge.
This allows it to stay one step ahead of its competitors in the market. Because most electric cars of brands from Tesla to Jaguar, BMW and Mercedes can only provide half of this range. Of course, it is possible to increase the range a little more by purchasing an additional battery pack, but they can only approach Eletra.
Of course, this is not enough for Lotus. As we mentioned above, engine and battery developments have already started for the 2nd generation of this car. Although there is no detailed explanation on the subject yet, it is said that the next vehicle will be 900 horsepower and will have a 120 kWh battery pack.
