The first country in the world to make Bitcoin (BTC) a legal currency El Salvadorhas already begun to see the benefits of it. President Nayib Bukele announced that they are building a new National stadium after announcing new hospitals and schools being built using BTC profits. Bukele announced the new modern stadium on Twitter.

The President announced that construction of new infrastructure to replace the existing 30-year-old stadium will begin next year. The stadium will have a total capacity of 50,000 seats in line with the new Fifa guidelines. The stadium will be built jointly with China, and Bukele described it as “an example of friendship between the peoples of China and El Salvador.”
El Salvador has made a number of developments since making Bitcoin a legal currency in September, and despite the World Bank and IMF’s warnings against its use, the small Central American country did its best to prove them wrong.

Bukele referred to the skeptical press and politicians of the United States who continue to refer to the government of El Salvador as a “dictatorship” mainly because of the adoption of Bitcoin.
