Eight stocks are the bearers of hope for the stock market year 2022

Frankfurt Equity strategists agree on two things. First: Even in the new year, there are few alternatives to stocks for investors. Second: The targeted selection of individual stocks is becoming even more important in the stock markets that performed well again last year. “There is a lot of pessimism in companies’ profit expectations, which leaves room for positive surprises for stocks,” says Sven Streibel, analyst at DZ Bank.

According to strategists, equity markets will grow in line with corporate earnings growth over the coming year. Philip Gisdakis, chief investment strategist at Hypo-Vereinsbank, expects the share price to rise in the high single digits.

Like many others, he is even more optimistic for Europe than for the US, as stocks there have already continued to climb: With price-earnings ratios of over 20, the leading US indices are 40 percent more expensive than European ones.
