Climate change is no longer an abstract threat: Extreme weather events, which are occurring more and more frequently, are already changing the lives of millions of people around the globe. They also have direct consequences for the economy: in a study by Accenture and the United Nations Global Compact, out of more than 1200 CEOs from 113 countries, every second executive stated that extreme weather has become a key risk for supply chains.
