Earthquake aid statement from President Erdogan

The effects of the 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes affecting 10 provinces in our country continue. A new earthquake aid statement came from President Erdoğan for the earthquake victims who survived the wreckage but became homeless and those who survived the earthquake with damage.

10 thousand TL earthquake aid will be given to earthquake victims!

President Erdoğan, who is in Kahramanmaraş today, announced that 8 thousand 574 people lost their lives and 49 thousand 133 people were injured in the earthquake. The number of destroyed buildings is 6 thousand 744. In addition, Erdoğan stated that each family in the earthquake zones will receive 10 thousand TL earthquake aid in the first place. Stating that the damage assessments continue at full speed, the President said that he will continue to take place in the areas affected by the earthquake.

Erdogan used the following statements in the continuation of his statement:

”Together with the damage assessments, we will give our specific support to the families. We have allocated a certain budget from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. With the damage assessments, we have planned the figure as 10 thousand, which will relieve each of our families during this process. As the government, we will deliver 10 thousand liras to these families. Our goal is to carry out mass housing operations in 10 provinces in a year, just as we did in other provinces where we experienced disasters.

Our citizens should not worry, we can never allow them to stay on the street. Earthquake survivors will be able to stay in contracted hotels in Antalya, Alanya and Mersin. We have mobilized all our resources, and the state carries out, continues and will carry out these works with municipalities under the coordination of AFAD, especially AFAD, with all its means.”
