Electronic Signature will work integrated with TR Identity Card

According to the information published in the Official Gazette today, the Regulation on the Implementation of the Electronic Signature Law has changed. From now on, citizens of the Republic of Turkey will be able to benefit from the system. First of all, the identities of Qualified Electronic Certificate (QC) applicants will be remotely verified by means of the TR Identity Card, and QC will be uploaded to the TR Identity Cards remotely.

Thus, with the arrangement, Identity Cards can also be used to make secure Electronic Signatures. Users will be able to use e-Signature for every job except a few important transactions. The fields where wet signature is mandatory are cases such as Inheritance, marriage and real estate transactions where the witness of a third party is required.

In order to have an electronic signature, you can obtain the necessary authorization by using the E-signature service offered through Electronic providers approved by the Information Technologies and Communications Authority.
