new York It’s been a bad day on Wall Street, a bad month, and a bad quarter. The US stock exchanges closed again clearly in the red on Friday. The US standard value index Dow Jones went 1.7 percent lower to 28,726 points from trading. The tech-heavy Nasdaq fell 1.5 percent to 10,576 points and the broad-based S&P 500 fell 1.5 percent to 3,586 points.
The Dow lost a good eight percent in September. The widehe The combined S&P 500 closed the month down 9.3 percent. The tech-heavy Nasdaq was down 10.5 percent. For the S&P, it was the biggest September percentage drop in 20 years.
