new York Former US President Donald Trump was again questioned about charges in New York on Thursday. It was about a $250 million financial fraud. New York Attorney General Letitia James has accused Trump, three of his adult children and others of decades of collectively manipulating home values and his net worth to obtain cheap credit, tax and insurance benefits.
“I will finally be able to show what an amazing, profitable and valuable company I have built,” Trump wrote in a series of social media posts early Thursday morning.
The former US president, who is seeking the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election, arrived for questioning at 10 a.m. and left just after 6 p.m. The survey took place behind closed doors. Trump has answered questions about his business practices, a person familiar with the matter said.
When questioned in August, Trump refused to answer questions more than 400 times, citing his right not to incriminate himself.
The financial fraud trial is scheduled to begin on October 2. Alina Habba, one of Trump’s attorneys, said in a statement that Trump is eager to testify and remains adamant that he has nothing to hide.
