Dogecoin Prize Contest from Binance CEO!

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao announced that he will give away a special Tesla and $50,000 worth of Dogecoin in a contest he announced on Twitter.

To participate in this contest, users need to do four things:

  • Retweet the post
  • Following Zhao, Binance and Elon Musk on Twitter
  • Have a verified Binance account with “know your customer” (KYC) standards designed to protect against illegal activity
  • Choosing the award and saying why

Binance will select a winner from each team by evaluating tweets for Dogecoin or Tesla separately. “Our favorite answer from each ‘team’ will win,” Zhao said in a 13-second video on Monday.

Soon after, Dogecoin founder Billy Markus commented on the post “Important”.

The vehicle to be awarded is a Tesla Model 3 costing approximately $45,000. The winner can also choose to receive $50,000 worth of Binance coins (BNB) instead of the electric car.

So far, tweets from contestants range from how crypto has changed their lives to how the prize will fund their college education. One person said he would use the money to help people in need.

The contest comes days after Zhao, known as CZ, had a public argument with Tesla’s CEO Musk. There has been no response yet from Musk to Zhao’s post.

Dogecoin, a meme coin launched as a joke in 2013, has gained nearly 6,000% over the past year and has been heavily featured by prominent figures, including Mark Cuban.

At the time of writing, DOGE is trading at $0.2155, up about 8 percent.
