Cryptocurrency David Gokhshtein, podcaster and founder of Gokhshtein Media, shared with his followers that he expects Ethereum co-founder and Twitter boss Elon Musk to join forces and start working together to update Dogecoin.
David Gokhshtein: “Elon Musk and Vitalik Buterin Will Work Together on Dogecoin”
However, Gokhshtein is confident that Musk and Buterin will not work together on Bitcoin:
“I feel like we will all see Vitalik and Elon working together to update DOGE in some way. They won’t be working together on Bitcoin because Vitalik has tried and been rejected in the past, while Elon is interested in turning what started as a joke into something serious.
Gokhshtein expects Musk and Buterin to join forces on Dogecoin. The origin of the famous name’s conclusion is probably based on Vitalik Buterin’s previous statements about DOGE.
Buterin suggested that DOGE move to the Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism like Ethereum.

He proposed this a year ago, in September 2021, and said that the Ethereum code could easily be used for this transition. In September of this year, Vitalik spoke about it once again at the cryptocurrency summit Mainnet 2022, which he attended.
The transition to PoS is also mentioned in Dogecoin’s Development Map. Indeed, Vitalik has every right to make such suggestions, not only as an observer and co-producer of Ethereum, but also as a member of the Dogecoin Foundation, which he joined in the summer of 2021.
Ethereum itself also made the transition to the long-awaited proof of stake in mid-September this year.
Back then, his father, Dmitry Buterin, wrote that Vitalik joining the foundation was definitely a good thing, as it could help DOGE become a “better coin.”
Besides that, Vitalik Buterin has donated large amounts of DOGE to the Dogecoin Foundation several times. It last did this in November and sent 20 million tokens to the foundation.
