EastEnders spoilers – Major star breaks down in tears over horrific bullying; plus Coronation Street & Emmerdale news

EASTENDERS star Clair Norris turned presenter on Wednesday, as she fronted a BBC Panorama episode.

The actress broke down during her BBC documentary, titled Obesity: Who Cares if I’m Bigger?, as she discussed being bullied for her weight.

Clair revisited her old primary school in Thamesmead and viewers could see she visibly struggled during a conversation about her childhood and being called names.

Clair said: “This is probably where the name-calling would have happened I don’t say it’s bullying that’s my own personal thing.”

Her mum then recalled: “You didn’t even see it as bullying.

“It wasn’t until other people pointed it out, and they were like ‘but they’re calling her this’ and you were like, ‘yeah they call me chubby but that is just their nickname for me’.”

As Clair began to cry, her mother comforted her viewers took to Twitter to praise the EastEnders actress for opening up about her experience.

One fan wrote: “Bravo to @clair_norris_ for tonight’s honest and thought provoking documentary on obesity. It handled the subject with warmth and sensitivity and asked important questions.”

A second said: “Such a fab, informative documentary, well overdue, with so much hate on social media and trolls, we all need a little more depth and consideration in our lives, well done Clair x”

And another has asked for Clair to front more documentaries, saying: “Loved that @clair_norris_! Great perspective on weight and a different angle – focussing on lived experiences and how real people are overcoming obesity. When’s the sequel?”

    Bobby chooses to live with Wendy, after she she feeds lies to him, convincing him Mercedes blames him for Sylver’s tragic death.

  • Ashley McGuire: I was groomed & abused aged 15

    FORMER EastEnders star Ashley McGuire has revealed she was groomed by a female paedophile when she was just 15.

    The 49-year-old actress, who played Bev Slater in the BBC soap, sensationally disclosed all during a recent podcast – and it makes for grim hearing.

    “I was seduced by a much older woman when I was 15,” Ashley bravely said while appearing on the Out with Suzi Ruffell podcast.

    She added: “Before then, I hadn’t looked at a member of the same sex and thought, ‘Ah, I would like to have sex with them’.

    “We had a relationship for a year. Of course, when I tell anyone now, they’re just like, ‘Well that’s a paedophile’.

    “She was 31 and she groomed me, fully. I wasn’t allowed to talk about it and nobody knew – because she was in a position of authority. That went on for a year.”

    She was the youngest of the di Marco clan who lived on Albert Square during the 1990s.

    Nicky di Marco, played by Carly Hillman, was the best friend of Sonia Jackson, and arrived in the soap with her mother Rosa, sister Teresa, and two protective older brothers Beppe and Gianni.

    Her most memorable storyline came when her mum arranged for some extra tutoring to help her with her maths homework and she ended up falling for tutor, Rod Morris.

    Nicky made the first move on her tutor but he then took things too far and he sexually assaulted her.

    She was written out of the soap in 2000, and was last seen leaving Albert Square to live in a youth hostel after she realised her family didn’t believe she had been attacked.

  • Corrie’s Brooke Vincent is engaged!

    CORONATION Street’s Brooke Vincent has announced she is engaged to footballer beau Kean Bryan.

    The 29-year-old star shared the news on Instagram after welcoming her second child with the West Brom ace last year.

    Brooke, who plays Sophie Webster on Corrie, posted a video showing a drawing of handprints on paper, with the words next to the outline of her hand with a ring, “Mrs Bryan to be”.

    The star captioned her post: “Coming Soon… The Bryans 💍💒”

    In the summer of 2016 she confirmed that she was in a relationship with Kean, having previous dated another footballer, Josh McEachran.

  • Emmerdale spoilers: Rhona to make a tough decision

    Emmerdale vet Rhona Goskirk – played by Zoe Henry – makes a decision to earn some extra cash.

    Coming up, Rhona jumps in back at work in the vets, ready to balance her career with her personal life and taking care of Marlon by helping Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) with an injured dog.

    However, this doesn’t prevent an incident from happening.

    As mentioned above, Marlon gets thrown into danger again as he chokes on a sip of water his daughter April tries to give him next week.

    The mishap is set to rattle the father-daughter duo, especially the teenager who is adamant on supporting her father however she can.

    April contributed to saving her father’s life by calling an ambulance when she found him on the ground following his stroke.

    She has been a great source of support for Rhona in spite of Marlon initially closing his hospital room off for any visitors.

  • EastEnders fans baffled by ‘missing’ character

    EASTENDERS fans have noticed Denise Fox’s son Raymond has seemingly “disappeared” from Albert Square.

    Back in January, Phil Mitchell kidnapped his son as they prepared to start over away from Walford.

    Since that explosive storyline, viewers have pointed out that Raymond is rarely seen these days.

    One wrote: “Where’s Raymond? Surely he would be out with Denise and Jack with their family? #EastEnders”

    EMMERDALE bosses have cast Peaky Blinders hunk Jack Parr for a major new storyline.

    The actor – who played Dougie Bill in the last series of the gritty historical drama – will make his debut in the ITV soap next week.

    He will play a new character called Jordan who becomes embroiled in the lives of several villagers.

    A source revealed: “Jordan will arrive in the village in a shocking way and end up pitting neighbour against neighbour.

    “It’s going to be a dramatic storyline and take on a serious issue.”

    Jack will also soon be seen in a major new series from Apple TV called Masters of the Air.

  • EastEnders’ Katie Jarvis sentenced after admitting racial harassment

    EX-EASTENDERS star Katie Jarvis has been sentenced to community service, after admitting racial harassment in an incident from 2020.

    The actress, who played Hayley Slater on the BBC One soap until 2019, was arrested a year later after an altercation in Southend, Essex.

    Basildon Crown Court heard about how someone from a party Jarvis was hosting tried to take a chair from a table where a woman, Michelle Antonio, was sat. After being told that the chair was needed, a fight broke out.

    Jarvis claimed that Antonio was “aggressive”, which she denied, while the court also heard that Jarvis said “Black lives don’t matter” and referred to herself as a “celebrity”.

    Antonio is quoted as saying that the comments made her “feel disgusted and angry”, and that she “can’t believe in 2020 these things are still being said”.

    The former soap actress has been sentenced to two years of community service, with 200 hours of unpaid work and 60 days of specified activities.

  • Happy Birthday Bill viewers can’t believe Corrie legend’s real age

    A DOCUMENTARY about Coronation Street veteran Bill Roache has left viewers all asking the same question about the soap star.

    The actor, whose birthday is next Monday, is the world’s most enduring TV soap star, having played Ken Barlow since 1960.

    ITV celebrated the Corrie legend on Tuesday night with Happy Birthday Bill, a documentary to mark his 90th birthday.

    During his 62 years on the long-running soap, Ken has been married four times, had four kids, numerous flings, been to prison and even been at the centre of a whodunnit.

    And while life hasn’t been quite as dramatic for the man who plays him, those tuning in to tonight’s Happy Birthday Bill have been left stunned by his age.

  • Corrie fans left confused by ‘invisible child’ mystery plot twist

    CORONATION STREET viewers were left distracted by an ‘invisible child’ mystery on Wednesday’s episode, as Daisy discovers Daniel’s dark secret.

    In Wednesday’s episode, Daisy suggested to Daniel that they all meet up for drinks after work.

    But, Nicky arrived at the Rovers unaware that Daisy was trying to set her up with her ex Ashley, and Nicky was embarrassed when Ashley clearly recognised her.

    Daisy was then left stunned to discover that Ashley knew Nicky from her days as a sex worker, and that Daniel had also paid Nicky for her time.

    As the pair rowed in the street, Corrie fans were distracted by another detail – and that was the mention of Daniel’s toddler son Bertie.

    Viewers pointed out that Bertie is rarely seen these days, and has become ‘invisible’ in the soap.

    One fan tweeted: “Corrie ooh Bertie, the invisible child, just got a mention.” @Mel_Navan asked: “#Corrie So Ken has Bertie now does he? Beth & Kirk had him earlier…”

    While another said: “I’ll get these to say thank you for looking after Bertie…says Daniel whilst in the pub and someone else is looking after invisible Bertie!”

    And a third wrote: “Think I might go on the Coronation Street tour and see if I can find Bertie, sort of like a real like Where’s Wally.”

    EMMERDALE fans were left frustrated with the “boring” storylines this week after Meena Jutla’s explosive exit.

    The serial killer – who is played by actress Paige Sandhu in the ITV soap – was sentenced to 75 years behind bars on Monday’s episode.
