Dax tests the 13,000 point mark

Dusseldorf The situation on the German stock market is on the brink. After high price gains in the past few weeks, the leading index slipped back towards 13,000 points at the start of trading. The Dax is now up 0.4 percent again at 13,284 points. The daily low is 13,156 points.

Already on Monday, the stock market barometer closed 2.3 percent down at 13,230 points, a loss of around 314 points. This ended the summer rally, which lifted the Dax from 12,390 to 13,947 points. The leading German index is currently around 660 points below the high of last Tuesday.

For the technical analyst Martin Utschneider from the private bank Donner & Reuschel, “following the initial euphoria in August, investors now have to align themselves neutrally or downwards again”. In his view, the focus is now on the 13,113 to 13,008 support area. The further development of the German stock market should also be decided there.
