Dax tends sideways despite disappointing export figures

Frankfurt On Tuesday morning, the Dax starts close to Monday’s closing value. The leading German index is calculated at 16,083 points. The top stocks Commerzbank and Rheinmetall each gain more than one percent, while Covestro and Siemens Energy lose by the same amount.

On Tuesday, the German stock market received little impetus from new economic data. An exception are the German export figures for May, which were published early in the morning. Exports fell surprisingly, which can be taken as another sign of a poorly performing economy.

The specifications from the Asian markets were ambiguous. While the Japanese Nikkei index lost around one percent, stock market prices in China and Hong Kong rose slightly.
