Dax starts with tentative gains

Dusseldorf On the first day of the European central bank conference, investors in the German stock market are optimistic. Three quarters of an hour after the start of trading, the leading index Dax was up 0.3 percent on Tuesday at 15,865 points.

If he keeps the – albeit tentative – gains throughout the day, the Dax would end the series of losses in which he had remained for six trading days. Since the beginning of the year, there have not been that many trading days in which the Frankfurt Stock Exchange Barometer closed in the red one after the other. Also on Monday, the Dax went out of trading with a minus of 0.1 percent at 15,813 points.

The focus of investors today, Tuesday, is the annual central bank conference of the European Central Bank in Sintra, Portugal. ECB President Christine Lagarde will give her opening speech in the morning and will probably confirm her monetary policy course.
