Dax starts clearly in the red – oil prices drop

Frankfurt The German stock market started the new week with losses. At the start of trading, the leading index Dax was down around 0.6 percent at 14,193 points. In the past week it had already lost a little over one percent and closed at 14,283 points on Friday.

The specifications from the trade in Asia were negative on Monday. The markets there had also given way. Investors there worried about the tightened corona measures in China, which are slowing down the country’s economy. The background is the rigorous zero-Covid strategy of the political leadership. The lockdown in China’s largest metropolis, Shanghai, is currently causing a stir.
